l Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
l Responsible for subsidiary ledgers: cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries for adjustments to the general ledger.
l Prepares monthly reports that include accounts payable reconciliation, balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
l Directly supervise the processing of accounts payable, cost accounting.
l Provides information, as required, to government agencies.
l Assigns and distributes fiscal responsibilities, in consultation with the CFO.
l Creates and applies fiscal controls and procedures within the accounting department.
l Audits expenditures to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
l Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel under supervision. This individual recommends training requirements, has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives, and recommend that personnel be hired or removed.
l Interface and exchange information with management personnel in operations and personnel functions to ensure smooth flow of accounting work.
l Ensures that accounting department work meets corporate requirements.
l Assists in special projects as assigned. |
